Blog O'Fun!

Lucky! Lucky!
Ok, it’s not all luck but I sure do feel blessed to be part of this
St. Patrick’s Day Blog Hunt!
If you are here from Mrs. Jump’s Blog, ‘Howdy and Welcome’ to A Modern Teacher.  I can’t begin to tell you how happy I am that you are here.  A big THANK YOU to Deanna Jump for kicking this off!
Stay as long as you want, just no pinching! Haha!  I’m very green-just started this blog a couple of months ago.  Join me and watch this little green blog grow.
AND NOW, some treasures (yes 2!) for you!
If you are a Pre-K, K, or 1st grade teacher, you might be interested in this little glyph- 'Be a Leprechaun'.  Click HERE to download it for free!

If you are a 2nd or 3rd grade teacher, shamrocks are perfect to teach symmetry with. Here’s how I teach it:
1.        Fold paper in half
2.     Draw half a heart at the top
3.      Turn your paper to the side and draw a heart (without closing the heart)
4.     Draw a rectangle as the stem
5.     Then cut it all out
Voila! A symmetrical shamrock.
Kids will love making them in all sorts of sizes.
And HERE are a couple of practice sheets to identify congruent shamrocks and a practice sheet for practicing symmetry.
Of course, all teachers can have both and can even download another freebie I posted last week for St. Patty's Day.
If you like this, there’s tons more to come…. so maybe ‘like’ me on facebook or follow me on TpT or my pinterest boards.   I even have one board dedicated to St. Patrick’s Day so check it out!  AND NOW… How LUCKY are you??...you get more free stuff!!
Tomorrow, there will be 2, YES TWO, blogs to visit to get your next clue and a freebie. A ton of blogs are participating from March 1st-17th! More blogs!  More freebies!  Yee-haw (I’m from Texas)

and HERE!!!
Thanks for stopping by.  Do YOU  have another fun way to celebrate St. Patty’s Day?

~Have a great weekend! Happy early St. Patrick’s Day! April
