Ready for a Top-Secret Mission to do with your kids? Finding Frosty is a mission you won’t want to miss! I am excited to have Lexi back for another creative idea! This one is super helpful because you can complete during inside recess!
This is Lexi from Twinkle Little Teacher! I am fairly new to the blogging world and am BEYOND excited to be a guest blogger here today!! With winter quickly approaching, will the bitter cold winter temperatures keep your class in from outdoor recess? After being trapped inside countless times, I decided it was time to create a resource that would be engaging, active, and fun while keeping my students indoors during our recess time. This resource is the perfect brain-break activity for a snowy winter day!
Memories of building snowmen as a child always bring a smile to my face. Often I feel like our kids are being deprived of actively having fun during the brutally cold indoor recess days. “Finding Frosty” is a top-secret scavenger hunt that will lead the students (secret agents) throughout the school to find missing parts of Frosty the snowman.
The Frosty Detective Agency will leave a mysterious letter in the teacher’s classroom informing her and the students that they have been recruited to be secret agents to help find the missing parts of Frosty and put him back together! Students will wear secret agent badges, carry individual checklists, and collaborate as a team to decode the eight clues that are spread throughout the school.
This activity is a great one for bonding with classmates, incorporating physical activity, and creating cooperative experiences. It is great for a wide range of age groups! I hope you and your students will enjoy this winter activity as much as I have!
You can grab the resource here in my TPT store.
