A bunch of us decided to swap blogs for the day!  Yay!  So, we have a guest.  And I’m thrilled Lynda is here….(and check out my post over at Teach 123!)

Hi everyone!!

This is Lynda from Curls and a Smile and I am so happy to be share my ideas with all of you as I guest blog for my sweet bloggy friend and fellow Texas A&M Aggie (WHOOP!!) April!
I don’t know about you but after a few summer days of relaxation and just being lazy, my mind starts to wonder to the next school year and what changes I would like to put into place. This year was a GREAT year! This was my first grade in second grade and I absolutely love it! Now that I am more familiar with the grade and its expectations, I can focus a more clearly on what will help my students be successful in the new school year.
The first thing on my list: writing.
I have decided that this year I would like to tweak the incorporation of an interactive notebook as a resource for my kiddos as they build their writing skills. I think this will be a great tool to add meaning to the anchor charts that we create in class and allow students to have a self created resource that they can use as they write through out the year.
Here is a little freebie of what will be part of a year round interactive notebook that I will be creating for my little writers! The best part, it can be used with several grades, either to introduce the concept or as a review of proper strategies for writing!
More that I think about my students and their writing, the more activities that are popping into my head!! So make sure to visit and follow
to see all the little activities that will be added to this notebook.
Happy writing!!
A big thank you to Lynda!  I am so happy to have you here.
And check out the fun blog hop we are having today!! You are invited to check out some awesome posts! Have a wonderful weekend!
