Happy Friday! It’s cold here in central Texas.  We actually got some sleet and schools are closed.  In fact, the city has pretty much shut down. {Don’t laugh too hard you northerners!}  I plan on doing a little organizing around the house.  And hopefully, a little closet makeover.  Wish me luck!

What about you?  Got the home improvement bug this new year?  I’m so happy to share this little DIY {for those of you getting some home projects DONE}.  When designing this playroom, we knew we wanted the focus to be on “play” and “read”, we really didn’t want it to be a TV or media room.  HOWEVER, my kids watch TV just like any other kiddo.  I just want to hide it a bit.  Now, this awesome screen my husband built (I told you he was pretty handy) does the trick.

This is an easy project.  Don’t worry, my husband doesn’t have (much to his dislike) any fancy tools.

Allright for those DIYers out there:

Materials:

*2×4 for frame

*1xrandom sizes (we used knotty alder boards)

*nail gun

*circular saw

*drill

*full extension cabinet door guides

**I apologize for not having pictures for each step.**

Steps:

1. Build the box frame the size of the opening.

2. Cut the boards (inside) to length in the pattern desired.

3. Nail the boards to the box frame.

4. Install full extension cabinet door guides to box frame and whatever you are mounting it to.

And that is it!!  Maybe just some fine tune adjustments after you install it.
