If you read my post on Sunday, you know I am trying to streamline everything in my life. I am asking myself tough questions like “Does this REALLY need to be done?”, “Would I buy this ____ (insert any object in my home) today?”, “Is it useful or just make me happy?”. With three kids (5 and under), being a mom IS a full-time job and I need LOTS of organization in my life. Especially when it comes to doing something I LOVE: creating resources for teachers.
So, when writing blog posts, catching up on taxes, marketing new products, and so on and so on…I was a mess. Everything was everywhere. I had about 3 different files for pinterest. Who needs that many? At one point over this journey, I had 3 different calendars: one for facebook, one for pinterest, and one for blog posts. HA!! It was getting a bit overwhelming (which I know at times can happen). However, it doesn’t HAVE to be this way all.the.time. I want to enjoy this journey and my children…and my hubby…and my faith. So, these papers and upkeep couldn’t run my life. I LOVE this business and I want to stay organized with it all.
Do you know what I mean? Have you experienced any of the crazy teacher biz paperwork?
Right before my son was born, I started creating a teacher entrepreneur planner. Then he came and everything with the business came to a halt. And rightly so. I needed the time to enjoy all the first laughs, diaper changes, and sleepless nights. I am so grateful for all of it, I can’t explain how much I thank God everyday for him (and the other 2). BUT A Modern Teacher took a back seat. So the Planner took a back seat too. Well, not anymore.
Last week, I finished the Plan and Go: Teacher Entrepreneur Planner®. I am incredibly excited to share it with you.
I am incredibly excited about staying organized.
And I am so incredibly excited about this new resource. I’m even in the process of trademarking the name! Yay! Big steps for A Modern Teacher.
