5. handwritten notes and cards
I’ve been doing a little organizing lately and you know what? I love cards. I love, love, love cards. I keep pretty much all my cards. From every event since I was well….born. It is one object, besides pictures that I have tucked away in my boxes. I really do think that if someone took time out to pick a card, write a note, and actually put it in the mail–it’s big in my book…means a lot and I keep them. forever. I guess I figure if I ever need a pick-me-up or I need to share some history with my kids when they get older, I can share it with them. A little reminder. A little memory. A little piece of their heart.
Well.y’all. I found a new site (new to me) that is perfect if you are the card-kind-of-gal. TREAT Greeting Cards. Fun! Fun! Fun! So when I was putting together teacher gifts, I knew I wanted to order a card from Treat to go along with the gift. Treat has cards you can personalize, order, and get them in your mailbox (or your recipients) in a breeze. They are reasonably priced and super cute. The site is modern and fun and just up my alley.
I decided to make this super easy acrylic Note Tray. I saw this DIY on Just a Girl and knew these trays would be perfect to place notes for a teacher. You could even place folders or papers in here…depending on the size of the acrylic frame you get. I just headed to Hobby Lobby and $3.00 later, I have a fun gift. I paired it with sticky notes, sharpies, fun stickers, and a gift card. I even got a chance to personalize the Note Tray….and I’m sharing that with you. You can get the free printable at the bottom of this post. You can add your name to the printables in Adobe. No need for Power Point. (Directions for adding your name at the bottom of the post)
Need a card for a teacher or Father’s Day?...head on over to Treat. So much fun! Thanks Treat for the cute and personalized card. I know Mrs. V. loves it!
