I love February. If you have read the blog for awhile you know I never grew up thinking Valentine’s Day was about the romance kind of love. In our house, we celebrated the friendship kind of love (agape love). Mom always gave us small tokens of her love. We sang, we danced, we talked on Valentine’s. Mostly of Christ’s love for us. And I’ve shared about that HERE.
I’ve also shared ideas on Classroom Valentine’s Parties. You can read about that HERE.
And today, the fun doesn’t end. I have 2 big things to share.
First up, I thought it would be fun to share a kids’ playlist with songs around friendship. You can find that HERE. All you need is a Spotify account (FREE) and just hit play. The playlist is about 30 minutes long. All kid friendly. Of course, music is also great for classroom management. Play as kids are coming in to start their day, for brain breaks, during cleanup/transitions, or at the end of the day. It would be especially fun to play on Valentine’s Day.
I am also happy to share that I will be bringing more kid-friendly and teacher-friendly playlists in the coming months. WAHOO! I love, love, LOVE music and want to share that piece of my heart with you -sounds cheesy but I do 🙂
Next up… A very long time ago, I created some party packs for teachers. But in my focus to create planners and binders, I took the party packs out of the shop. Today, I’d love to giveaway a party pack. It includes the Owl Craft and Writing shown below and other printables you can use throughout Valentine’s Day or even during the party. It can’t be bought in the shop. Just exclusive to this giveaway. Pin the image below and leave a comment below telling me one thing you love about Valentine’s Day either in your classroom or at home. I’ll choose a winner Tuesday, February 9, 2016 so you have time to use it in your classroom this year (and then save for next year).
Thanks to everyone who entered! S.Dean you are the winner!!!! Check your email inbox! Congratulations!!!
